There are few things in life that humans find interesting - life, love, and everything scandalous. Right at the heart of it all, specifically in France, French President François Hollande was reported to having an affair with a French actress. The news was so interesting that Hollande's first lady was hospitalized.

Who is Julie Gayet? What kind of person is she that news of her could get the most powerful woman in France hospitalized? Let's look at the following photo gallery, while we peel the skin of the story right to its core.

Julie Gayet Gallery:

Julie Gayet is a native of a wealthy western Parisian suburb of Suresnes. She began her career as an actress at age 17 when she went to study at the Actor's Studio in London.

Gayet's father was a surgeon and a teacher. He would ask her to put on little shows in clinic where, by the way, Gayet witnessed her first death experience.

Although a trained opera singer, Gayet landed her first big role in the 1994 French film "La Belle Etoile." Since then she appeared mainly in French film comedies and dramas.

Gayet's biggest success was in the comedy "Delphine 1 - Yvan 0."

Since her 1993 debut, she has appeared in 48 films.

According to one colleague, Gayet has "a rock 'n' roll temperament and a very smooth approach." But her career has never taken off to the point where she has achieved star status or has become a name in the world of French arthouse cinema.

Julie Gayet has two children with her estranged husband Santiago Amigorena, an Argentine-born director and writer.

She has never hidden her support for the political Left in France and even appeared in a promo video for François Hollande's presidential election campaign.
