Jennifer Parmenter, an auto show model grabbed the attention of car onlookers at an auto exhibit in Detroit. The reason? She's six-and-one-half months pregnant, according to an AOL.com report.
Jennifer Parmenter is not only a model with a pretty face. She's a product specialist who knows what she's doing and very knowledgeable about the product she's selling.
Standing right next to a smart car, Jennifer Parmenter is intensively trained about the product and capable of answering all your customer questions regarding the vehicle.
Jennifer Parmenter's presence shows the significant marketing evolution car dealers are employing these days. It's not enough for car show models to have a pretty face, but they also need to possess significant amount of knowledge about the products they represent.
With Jennifer Parmenter's case, it seems that people were more interested in her baby on board than they were in the cars on display, the AOL.com report said.
In fact, it was a perfect strategy of the pregnant model's employer. What people don't know is that most car show models are way past the "bimbo" stereotype who stand right next to cars like additional auto accessories. These days, most models are very well-versed in technology.
In the case of Jennifer Parmenter, her employer wanted an approachable and relatable model and what better model to have than a pregnant one. It makes sense to have a pregnant model if you are trying to get young families to buy your car, the AOL.com report said.
"These cars are smaller than any of the others here, and they have real-sized women working, not stick people. I love it," said Yvonne Logan, who was attending the auto show and spoke to Local 4 news, as reported by ClickOnDetroit.
Parmenter was showcasing Smart cars and her size showed other women how the small car would accommodate a real-sized body. To avoid getting stressed, Parmenter had a stool close by in case she finds the need to sit down.
