Last night first episode of America Idol had been a blast with its new judges.

This seasons cream of the crop will probably be the judge Harry Connick Jr., the jazz singer, who is now considered the new Simon Powell.

Last night, the viewers enjoyed watching the initial epeisode of Ai, where changes have been made for a fresher season.

This includes fresh start among the judges, innovative segments and intriguing but interesting contestants.

Last night was considered by most of the viewers as the best episode ever aired by AI.

Jennifer Lopez, as we all know is sweet commentator,  who sometimes sugarcoat her comments. Such things challenged Connick and Urban to deliver an honest and straight judgement.

Connick, who is a new comer and had just had his first exposure on AI screen was so pure and honest in his own way. Although Connick was hardly known by most of the contestant, the 46-year-old jazz crooner,  stayed cool and humorous.

When finally a contestant recognized him, he literally picked him up as he sang. He exit the judge area carrying the aspirant who happen to be his fan.

And of course, rocker Keith Urban, who is also genuine with his comments and made last nights episode a must watch with his joke about his desire with Connick.

The two-hour episode premiere kickoffs with aspirants from Boston and Austin. New style including "the Chamber" where the contestant seen entered before gearing up with the judges was noticed by the viewers.

Special segment "Who Dat" was also showed last night where Harry was hardly named by the contestant, addressing him "the new guy". Jokes from Keith and Harry burst, as they envy J-Lo, who was according to the guys has been receiving a lot of attention. One guys burst into tears after seeing J-Lo.

There 75,000 hopefuls gathered to audition fro AI Season 13. At the end of the show, Boston had 25 gold tickets and 21 tickets for Austin.
