Dave Madden of “The Partridge Family” dies at 82

The Canadian American actor, known for his character Reuben Kincaid of "The Partridge Family" died last Thursday at 82.

Dave Madden was born in Ontario Canada and grew up in North Terre Haute Ind.,

He served the Air Force's Special Services when he was a youth as an actor. Upon college, he made his way to a serious entertainment, pursuing acting.

 Madden got his first ticket to television when he guest as a comedian in "The Mervv Griffin Show" in 1962. His exposure got spots from another show called "The Ed Sullivan Show" on 1963.

In 1960, he was known as a comedian in Rowan & Martin's Laugh-in and made his big break at "The Partridge Family" as Reuben Kincaid who has a family band. This show made him marked on the television screen worldwide from 1970-1974.

The "Partridge Family" is a comedy sitcom series about a widowed mother, Shirley Jones, with her five children. Though the series was starring Sharley, Madden and his co-star Danny Bonaduce played their part really well and became the viewer's favourite.

Madden's character are entangled with Bonaduce's character in the series. It was the two who made the series worked.

In phone interview made by Yahoo, Bonaduce said, "[Dave] was as close to me as any member of my family. I don't think I'll be able to get into the Magic Castle now without him. If he had a choice, he would probably want to be remembered as a really good magician. That was his thing."

 David Cassidy, another co-star from the series expressed his deep condolences and described Dave as a very supportive, kind man who will be missed by many.

His last appearance was in the show "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" where he played as Dr. Egglehoffer.
