Abigail Breslin is hot and all grown up, turning in her Little Miss Sunshine crown to become Hollywood's newest sexy blond bombshell.
The 17-year-old former child star wowed the crowd at this 2014 Critics' Choice Awards where the August: Osage County star showed up at the red carpet with a dress that officially shed her Little Miss Sunshine image.
Abigail Breslin, who turns 18 this year, made a stunning entrance at this year's Critics' Choice wrapped in a soft blue, cleavage-baring ensemble, with sheer sleeves and a sparkling floral design. The actress capped off her look by styling her hair in big, classic waves swept to one side, with her makeup kept minimal except for the splash of red on her lips.
To complement her real-life image, Breslin has taken on more mature roles over the past several months as well.
In her latest project, August: Osage County, the blond actress plays to perfection the role of Julia Roberts' troubled teenage daughter, who develops a habit of smoking weed and later has an affair with an older man.
Breslin also triggered controversy in 2013 after posing topless in a risque photo shoot with Tyler Shields.
However, the 17-year-old actress has pointed out that her goal isn't to make a statement about breaking away from her child star image.
"I don't make these conscious decisions to do it to like prove to the world that I'm grown up," she said in an interview with E! regarding the risque photos.
"I think people see my work and see what I do and see that I'm grown up. But yeah, I'm almost 18. Every headline for the past three years has been 'Abigail Breslin All Grown Up,' so I am kind of growing up. I do want to try different things but its all for fun," Breslin added.
