Additionally, we are going to witness how Elena (Nina Dobrev) is coping with her breakup with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). We all know that our dear Elena stood by the older Salvatore despite all his "bad boy" antics so it's a bit heartbreaking to see them parting ways yet again. The entire gang even thinks that the breakup was totally uncalled for. Actress Nina Dobrev spoke to E! Online about the breakup and according to hear it's time for them to "take a break and go find some people to hang out with." Of course, she was also asked about the possibility of rekindling her romance with Stefan, but the actress insists that "[Elena] just needs to go and do her own thing."

"I think they'll both [Damon and Stefan] always be in her life, so that could get complicated because they've both been with her," Nina Dobrev dished. "They both are in love with her, have been in love with her, or won't admit to still being madly and deeply in love with her and so they are navigating this whole scenario which is quite difficult for all of them. But now there's an added element that is a big spoiler that I cannot disclose, but that definitely complicates things a bit. And it leaves everyone sort of very confused and there's going to be a huge shift in the next episode that really changes things for everyone." The CW dropped three sneak peek clips for the Vampire Diaries season 5 episode 11 and so far we like what we are seeing. First, we can see everyone except Caroline being skeptical about Damon's decision to breakup with Elena.
