Viktor Ahn middle finger video is obviously gaining much attention once again after Ahn's victory in securing two more short tracks gold medals under his name. His triumph is of course not free from drama and controversy as it took place about a month after European Championships where Vicktor Ahn got the middle finger salute from rival Sjinkie Knegt, who was then quite bitter to the former's victory.

According to the Independent last month, three-time Olympic short track gold medalist Viktor Ahn got two middle finger salute from Sjinkie Knegt after leading Russia to team relay glory at the European Championship in Dresden.

Several media outlets captured Knegt's obscene gesture on camera and videos of him giving the middle finger salute to Viktor Ahn became a large issue. So much so that Sjinkie was disqualified.

In the video (found below), aside from raising his two middle fingers for Ahn, Knegt could be seen kicking out towards the winner's direction. Fortunately, he was far enough to inflict pain and injury to Ahn.

Since the two athletes are competing at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, everyone was anticipating the next chapter of their feud. Nevertheless, it seems Viktor Ahn has remained unshakeable in securing gold medals for the country he is representing.

As of late, the 28-year-old's Olympic medal tally is at six golds for a short track skater. Clearly enough, Viktor Ahn didn't let the middle finger controversy ruin his focus in proving his rival/s wrong.

However, it seems that Ahn's victories will never be free from controversy. After his winning moments in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, his decision to move to Russia and represent the country instead of his home country South Korea, where he was formerly known as Ahn Hyun-Soo was questioned.

"I don't want too much controversy in Korea because of me. There are so many articles comparing me with the Korean athletes. I regret that sincerely," Ahn said according to Yahoo! Sport.
