Arsenal News and Rumors: Arsene Wenger Could Be Sacked As Gunners Manager

Arsenal had a great start this season but they have been on a downward spiral recently after losing in two crucial Premier League matches.
The Gunners are on the verge of missing out on a top-three finish this season after absorbing a humbling 6-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday, which was followed by a 2-2 draw against Swansea.
Their recent struggles led to rumors and speculations that the Gunners could go into a different direction this summer and fire long-time manager Arsene Wenger.
ESPN's Miguel Delaney suggested that the Gunners could consider making big changes this season, questioning the future of Wenger at the Emirates Stadium.
Delaney indicated that the long-time manager has proven that he can keep Arsenal competitive, but he is not convinced whether or not the French manager can bring the Gunners to the next level.
"It is possible Wenger's serenity has become a negative as much as a positive," Delaney wrote. "His fundamental brilliance as a manager means he is capable of keeping them at a certain level, but there are genuine doubts as to whether he still has the distinctive spark to properly lift them."
When asked about his future with the Gunners, Wenger played down speculations, saying that he is still confident about his team's chances to finish strong this season. He admitted, though, that another fourth-place finish will be unacceptable, especially after having a strong start this season.
"We have not given up, believe me," Wenger said, via ESPN. "We can show that. It is our attitude that will decide that. Champions keep going when everyone else gives up and we have an opportunity to show that we have that mentality. We are in an important place in the Premier League, we are in the semifinals of the FA Cup."
The Gunners are currently just three points behind third-placed Manchester City and just six points behind league-leading Chelsea. Arsenal has a chance to erase Manchester City's lead when they collide at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
