Sources from a Japanese report, announced the scheduled release of Apples newest iPhone this coming September. It is believed to have a much higher resolution feature and a larger screen size, and will be the upcoming iPhone 6 in the global market.
The reported new handset is rumored to have two versions, a 5.5 inch screen, and a 4.7 inch screen variant, both to be larger than the previous kinds. This information was released by a report made by Nikkei Asian Review. In addition to this, Apple is believed to have been sourcing out its higher resolution LCD screens from prominent Asian companies like, Japan Sharp, and South Korea LG.
The latest smartphone release from Apple last September 2012, the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5c and 5s last year, still has the standard four-inch size screens. While the rumored iPhone 6 will pack a much larger size screen competing with its Asian counterpart. Apple's plan to increase the size of its smartphone's LCD, is a direct indication that it wants to contend over the Android operating system market, which significantly provides its OS to much larger handsets.
Apple believes that the release of their newest smartphone on September, will have a huge impact and potential over the mobile phone industry. They are expecting larger sales over the their existing customers. Since the first introduction of iPhone in 2007, it has received a large piece of the smartphone market, getting high reviews and acceptance from its consumers.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing is reported to have started producing chips for the next generation iPhone. Reports were made that Apple is relying on other companies to supply parts to build their newest handset, lowering its parts dependability on its rival competitor, South Korea Samsung.
Samsung sold more smartphones than Apple last year, receiving 30% more market share than the American tech giant.
