Leonardo Di Carpio has also fallen victim to another bizarre death hoax news which are spread all over the internet via social media sites. The Hollywood actor was rumored to have died over a snowboard accident that happened in Switzerland.
Leonardo Di Carpio and Dwyane Johnson were the recent unfortunate victims of this trending gossip that has plagued social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. The main purpose of this scams is to lure social site users to click on the link that will redirect them to a promotional page or an online survey. In some cases this death hoax posts is loaded with bugs that can spam the post on the user's account, or will let you install questionable software.
The "Wolf of Wall Street" star was said to have been in an accident during snowboarding in Switzerland. The post says that Leonardo was a beginner of the sport, and lost control in the slopes of the elegant Zermatt Ski Resort. He died by hitting a tree on high speed breaking parts of his body.
Fans of the Hollywood actor, Leonardo Di Carpio was shocked and terrified about the news, which is definitely not confirmed and untrue. Leonardo's representatives were told of the news, and reports say that the actor laughed at the fake information.
This would be the second incident where the actor, Leonardo Di Carpio waswas rumored to be death. He was also involved in another death hoax in 2009. The actor's representative told reports about Leonardo, saying, "He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet".
The death hoax that victimize popular celebrities are getting more common over the past few years since social media site has been a norm in the internet. This online scams is expected to grow while famous individuals fall prey on this hoax.
