George Clooney is engaged. Sorry ladies, but the Oscar-winning actor is now quite eager to move on to another phase of his life, and he wants to share it with his much younger girlfriend Amal Alamuddin.
According to People and Us Weekly, 52-year-old A-list actor George Clooney is engaged to his 36-year-old girlfriend, Amal Alamuddin, whom she reportedly began dating just last Fall.
Although Clooney's bachelorhood has always been a hot topic in Hollywood, it seems that the bachelor is getting tired of being the talk of the town, so now he is taking the first bold step in every bachelor's life: getting engaged.
Us Weekly reported that George Clooney and Amal were spotted dining at Nobu Malibu on Thursday, and Amal reportedly showed off her brand-new sparkling ring to model Cindy Crawfard, who was also there, alongside her husband Rande Gerber.
No one has information on when George Clooney proposed to the 36-year-old, but several sources including Us believe that the proposal may have happened on a recent vacation in ritzy Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Clooney and Alamuddin were spotted "toasting their engagement" at celebrity hotspot Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood on April 23rd, the magazine added.
The couple have been spotted on several occasions, and more often than not they were always seen happy and enjoying their time together. They were spotted in London, Tanzania, New York, and the Seychelles.
"George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key, but they also aren't really trying to hide this, it doesn't seem," a source told People.
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were first spotted out together in London in October, and since then the two have been inseparable.
Nevertheless, because of the short span of time from their dating status to their engagement, many are questioning whether George Clooney is just using Amal so he could get even with recent ex girlfriend, Stacey Keibler.
It can be noted that Clooney and 34-year-old professional wrestler and model Stacy Keibler, spent two years of being in a relationship before their breakup last July.
Following their split, Keibler reportedly married businessman Jared Pobre in March, and she is even expecting a child with her hubby this year.
Although it isn't clear whether George Clooney is indeed planning to get even with Keibler, it is still undeniable that he is totally in love with Amal, reported New York Daily News.
"This is the healthiest relationship I've ever seen George in," an Us Weekly source said. "He seems incredibly happy, and Amal is such a sweet and intelligent girl, who has her own thoughts and ideas and doesn't just bow down to everything he says."
