Gamers have been hearing several rumors about new Grand Theft Auto V games over the past several months, but Rockstar Games have yet to confirm whether or not a new game will be released.
GTA 5 fans have been eagerly waiting for an announcement, and they got one during the weekend from an alleged Rockstar Games employee, who confirmed the new versions of the game.
The alleged employee revealed that Rockstar Games is already developing a new game, probably for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The new versions of the game will reportedly be unveiled at E3, but SportsKeeda expressed doubt on the credibility of the rumors.
SportsKeeda pointed out that the tweet of Todd Gilbert was just a plain rumor, and the name "Todd Gilbert" was not mentioned in any games released by RockStar Games before.
"The biggest confirmation was when Rockstar programmer Todd Gilbert who claimed that Rockstar was really supposed to show the GTA V PC and PS3 version at destination PlayStation," SportsKeeda noted. "It was then said that the alleged tweet was just a rumor and that there were no records of a "Todd Gilbert" in any Rockstar released game."
The Epoch Times also expressed doubt about the credibility of the rumors, pointing out that the alleged employee cannot be found on Twitter, solidifying speculations that "Todd Gilbert" is not an employee of Rockstar Games - if he exists at all.
And to further solidify their claim that the rumors about the E3 announcement is not true, The Epoch Times noted that RockStar Games have no history of announcing big games at E3.
"Rockstar hasn't given any indicators that 'GTA V' will come to the PC. It's also unclear if the company will even be at E3-as the company didn't show 'GTA V' at E3 2013," The Epoch Times noted.
With these reports, it is still safe to assume at this point that Rockstar Games still have no plans of releasing the game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One despite the growing call from gamers.
It should be noted though that several international retailers have GTA 5 listings on their website, including Altex, which claimed that the game will be released on March 15, 2015 for 197.90 LEI.
