Snapchat recently released its latest version for its popular text messaging, photo, and video sharing app this Thursday with its biggest update yet. It focuses mainly on helping and improving the user experience in having conversations, completely revolutionizing Snapchat than the typical photo and video messaging applications out in the market.

On a blog post written by the company, they gave a statement that the old version of Snapchat was lacking the element which is important for conversations, and that discovering that you will have the full attention of your friend while chatting is a major goal.

The latest version of Snapchat is already available to all iOS and Android device users, which was a bit delayed on its release. The new updated features has definitely provided a facelift towards the app.

The changes are visible on its latest version, with the buttons and icons having a new design, while the user interface has been smoothly upgraded. The navigation menus which are swiped before, has a more uncluttered and clean look, with the font of the app changed to a smaller and elusive typeface.

The video chatting features were also updated, with the camera appearing to be greatly improved in order to accommodate the new look, and to provide a better quality image than the older much pixelated and grainy results.

The text messaging feature has gotten the largest improvement from the current update, with users being able to do full conversations through the app. A conversation view is neatly added to the contact's name at the inbox with just a swipe on the screen. Photo images can also be shared and exchanged within the messaging feature through the capture button that is added next to the text window.

Live video chatting features are also available on the new updated version of the Snapchat app, which is accessible if both users are in the same conversation and are available on the app. When it is possible to have a live video conversation, the capture button changes color to blue from yellow.

Snapchat is hoping that their new updated version will be a major benefit to the user and their app against their competition, which are Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
