Michael Schumacher fell victim of another death hoax that is plaguing the internet recently, with a news that the Formula One legend died and was declared brain dead. The famous retired race car driver who had a recent skiing accident in France, and is in critical condition has been a subject of the online fake death news.

The death hoax started with a Twitter posting from an account with a user name, Henry Wyatt, saying that the Formula One seven time world champion is dead. The post from Wyatt also includes images of news articles which are believed to be from CNN and Metro declaring the death of Michael Schumacher.

Proof that the news articles posted in Twitter by Henry Wyatt was not in existence in the internet, even with a detail search of the reports online will provide no results.

In other reports, some rumors were also released that the Formula One legend, Michael Shcumacher already woke up from his coma, and already able to recognize his wife. The agent for the race car driver, Sabine Kehm denied any reports and rumors about Shumacher's current condition. She also gave statments on the German tabloid Kolner Express, clearing that ever since she did the ARD talk show a couple of weeks ago, she never told and spoke to anyone about Michael Schumacher.

Death hoaxes spreading online remains to be a serious issue and also very offenive to the victims. Most death hoax are perpetrated to celebrities in order to promote a certain page or website in the internet, while some are used to spread malwares to other users.

Most recently other celebrities were also victimized by the death hoax, which includes, Dwayne Johnson, Leonardo DiCaprio, McCaully Culkin, Reese Witherspoon, Bill Cosby, Morgan Freeman and more. The chain of internet death hoax may become a current trend by fraudsters in the internet.
