Last week, the Jeffersonian team deciphered the clues left upon the death of Stephanie McNamara, the daughter of a wealthy and influential family. Stephanie's remains were found in a national park. The victim was of course someone who is very familiar to the team since her brother was once featured in the series as the victim of the Ghost Killer. When the Jeffersonian team found more clues on Stephanie's death, Brennan was convinced that Stephanie was also a victim of the Ghost Killer. Actress Emily Deschanel recently opened up to TVGuide about the upcoming finale. "I wouldn't categorize [the Bones Season 9 finale] as a happy ending. It changes everything. Booth always has faith that the good guy wins, but in this situation, it doesn't look good." Meanwhile, showrunner Stephen Nathan also dished about the finale saying: "Everything - Booth's work, Booth's relationship [with wife Brennan], and the direction of Booth and Brennan's life - will be called into question at the end of this season. Interestingly, executive producer Jonathan Collier, who co-wrote the finale with Nathan said, "It's an unusually intense and action-packed episode of Bones, but we still want to have all the emotional arcs and forensic work and everything else that makes a great Bones episode," adding that they definitely stepped out of their comfort zone a little bit to give fans a very satiating finale. Interestingly, with some spoilers claiming that someone is not going to survive the finale, actor David Boreanaz addressed the issue during an interview with E! News. "All I can tell you is that Booth will be in the show next season," he said. "Booth and Brennan will both be in the show next season. The show is about Booth and Brennan. Having said that, Booth will be in pretty horrible, terrible, desperate shape. Things are as bad as we've ever seen them. He will be in a terrible predicament. He has to find a way out of it.
