Derek Hough is perhaps the dancer to beat on 'Dancing With The Stars,' after snagging five trophies throughout the entire run of the show thus far. After gracing the DWTS dance floor with the inspiring Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy this season, Derek Hough seems to be making headlines yet again on dating rumor sites. The professional dancer, who finished second in the 18th season of DWTS, is now being linked to 'Twilight Saga' actress, Nikki Reed.

After 25-year-old Nikki Reed announced her separation from her former 'American Idol' contestant husband Paul McDonald in March, she is now being romantically linked to 29-year-old dancing pro Derek Hough.

To legally end her marriage with McDonald, Reed has filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday.

The main reason why Reed is trying to legally dissolve their marriage, as cited in the documents, are the irreconcilable differences between her and her estranged husband. Reed is also filing for the denial of spousal support to her husband, People mag has learned.

Now that she's a step away from finally breaking free from the marital bond with McDonald, Reed is said to be dating DWTS' Derek Hough, National Ledger reported. Hough and Reed have been spotted together on different occasions, but they are yet to comment on the dating rumors.

Reed tied the knot with McDonald in October 2011 following their self-confessed whirlwind romance. The two decided to end their romance about eight months ago, and they have since insisted that their split was amicable.

"[They] remain best friends and look forward to their continued journey together," Reed's rep told the press two months ago. The rep even noted that the soon-to-be ex-couple were "still working [together] on their debut album, 'I'm Not Falling'" at the time they have decided to separate.

Nikki Reed once dished that music was perhaps the secret behind her happy relationship with McDonald, whom she claimed was her number one priority in the world. However, last year, the actress already gushed an ominous message, saying: "I feel like especially being in this crazy, weirdo world that we're in, where we're making movies and people are on tour, it's just so easy to lose track of what's important."

"I feel like it's really important to just be with each other and make the other person a priority," she added.

As for Derek Hough, he has a long list of ex-girlfriends, who are undeniably beautiful and equally gorgeous. WhosDatedWho listed India de Beaufort as his Hough's first public figure girlfriend, and their relationship started in 2000 and reportedly ended in 2008.

Following Beaufort was Shannon Elizabeth, who was Derek Hough's girlfriend from 2008 to 2009. The next year, the dancing pro dated Cheryl Cole and their romance ended after a year.

In 2011, Hough was romantically linked to Lauren Conrad, but it was not confirmed how and when the two decided to end their relationship. Then, in 2013, Derek Hough was linked to Nina Dobrev after the actress broke up with her 'Vampire Diaries' co-actor Ian Somerhalder.

Early this year, Hough was spotted kissing Reed in LA at Rock & Reilly's, according to Star Magazine. However, unnamed sources claim that the two has nothing serious going on.
