PSY's 'Hangover' featuring Snoop Dogg might be the first thing on your should-check-out MV list today after it was released on YouTube Sunday, June 8. But, mind you, if you are looking for a catchy and decent song like his 2-billion worth of views 'Gangnam Style' then you might want to think again, and re-evaluate what possibly could have gone wrong in this one... or what could have gone right for some. Anyhow, it is still note-worthy that PSY hasn't lost his magic for gaining online buzz yet as the new MV of his 'Hangover' with Snoop Dogg already got nearly 13 millions views as of writing.
When you think about PSY, surely you'll think of the South Korean superstar who horse danced his way to fame through his likeable rapping and comedic antics in 'Gangnam Style' - the most viewed video on YouTube, having 2,010,119,816 views two years after its release in 2012. Today, however, PSY is taking a different direction, and he has chosen his buddy Snoop Dogg to lead him there.
"What I thought was I should refresh myself, and people, that I'm doing something different, so I thought about maybe changing genres," PSY said in an interview with MTV News. The South Korean superstar added that he was having hard time looking for a catchy tune for his next album until he got the perfect one after a night of heavy "drinking." And to complete his retro 808 hip-hop style beat, he enlisted Snoop Dogg to (sing the song for him) accompany him.
Upon the release of PSY's 'Hangover' feat. Snoop Dogg MV, many major sites featured it as another shot to PSY's seemingly endless popularity. Psy and Snoop even made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss the new single prior to the music video's official YouTube release.
If you haven't seen 'Hangover' yet, then here are the major highlights of the MV: PSY vomiting on the toilet after some serious drinking, Snoop Dogg popping out of the bathtub and extending his patting hand to his vomiting pal, the two artists brushing their teet together prior to heading downtown to Seoul's many delightful places such as a seafood restaurant, where they enjoyed a rough round of drinking with two Korean ajummas. Then, there are scenes where Psy simply sites in the middle of twerking dancers, Psy bathing in a public fountain, and Psy getting some hallucinations that the ajummas are actually hot and sexy ladies. Notable though short appearances of 2NE1's CL and BigBang's G-Dragon are also present in the MV.
"We [shot] that music video in Korea... Snoop and I both had only 18 hours," Psy said of the January shoot they did for the MV. "Snoop's calculation was 8 hours of shooting and 10 hours of partying. That's what he thought, and honestly, that's how I convinced him to bring him to Korea."
Though PSY's 'Hangover' feat. Snoop Dogg MV has proven to be entertaining like 'Gangnam Style' and 'Gentleman,' somehow it didn't capture the interest or tickle the funny bone of PSY's fans. A number of comments on PSY's official MV claim that the single is a 'disappointment' while others just put it out bluntly by saying that it 'sucks!'

Like honestly, this song is annoying as Miley Cyrus's thirst for attention. God Psy just STFU and make, I don't know, a song that doesn't have terrible singing, choreography, and morals? Enough with the auto tune please I swear to God my ears are bleeding," Jack Manning commented.
"This song fucking sucks. This is what is ruining are generation and record label companies don't care they just want to maximize profit. Never thought Snoop Dogg would turn into a SELLOUT," wrote another YouTube user.
