WWE 2K15 PS4, Xbox One Release Date, Rumors, Roster: Sting to Appear in Wrestling Video Game?

2K Sports and World Wrestling Entertainment have yet to release information about their soon-to-be-released WWE 2K15, but rumors indicated that one wrestling legend could be featured in the upcoming video game.

Multiple reports indicated that Sting might become a playable character in the wrestling video game with sources saying that WWE is currently negotiating a contract with Sting, who has a DVD coming out later this year.

WWE is reportedly offering a legend contract with Sting, which will allow the company to use him in several merchandising deals. Reports also indicated that Sting might be the rumored pre-order bonus, which aims to attract games to secure their copy in advance.

"The companies involve with "WWE 2K15" may make a special exception for Sting. The legend, who had never appeared in the previous installments of the series, may also be offered as a pre-order bonus in order to entice fans to reserve the software product in advance. 2K Games used a similar tactic in "WWE 2K14" with The Ultimate Warrior," the Examiner reported.

PWInsider also gave a strong indication that Sting will be appearing in WWE 2K15 as a casting agency is reportedly looking for a possible Sting double, and an Orchestra that will allegedly be decked like the WWE legend.

"The breakdown included a listing for a Sting body double, age 38-50, who is, "6'2, 250lb of pure muscle. Prefer a guy with wrestling experience, very fit. HEAVILY muscular. Slightly longer dark hair. Will have a full face of make up on. Paying a higher rate as we need a GREAT double for this," PWInsider revealed.

Aside from Sting, several new characters might also appear in WWE 2K15, including NXT talents like NXT champion Adrian Neville, NXT women's champion Charlotte, Sami Zayn, and Tyler Breeze.

Previous reports indicated that the upcoming wrestling video game will have a new career mode, which was patterned after the popular basketball video game, NBA 2K14.

Under the rumored game mode, a player will create a character or use an existing superstar, who will start as an NXT talent and work his way up to the main roster until he becomes a legend.

WWE 2K15 will be released on October 28 in North America and on October 31 in Europe. It is expected to come out for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
