Nike is set to make noise this weekend with the release of interesting colorways of three of their most popular signature sneakers - the KD VI, LeBron 11, and Kobe 9.
Set to arrive at retailers on Saturday is the newest colorway of Kevin Durant's sixth signature shoe - the KD VI - that will come out in Hoop Purple/Urgent Orange-Shark colorway, which is a part of Nike's "What The" collection.
The KD VI "What The" edition features a multi-colored upper part with unique graphic design that is said to be inspired by 35 graphics and colors from the previous colorways of the sixth signature sneaker of the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar.
"The new KD VI "What The KD" melds 35 graphics and colors from all the past KD VI colorways," Nike noted. "From the Maryland blue crab-inspired Swoosh, to the floral graphic of his late Aunt Pearl's robe, this new shoe captures KD's personal stories all in one."
According to reports, this shoe was also made to pay tribute to Durant's excellent year this season, having won his first Most Valuable Player award. Nike noted that Durant's excellence on and off the court drove them to create the KD VI sneaker, which has been very popular on the market over the past several months.
"Kevin Durant's ascension to one of the world's top athletes comes as no surprise to Nike Basketball, who signed Durant in 2007. His relentless work ethic, humility and drive to be the best never waver. His journey inspired the KD VI shoe," Nike wrote.
This impressive-looking edition of the KD VI will be available starting 10 a.m. EST for $150 worldwide.
To be released alongside Durant's signature sneaker is the new colorway of the latest signature shoe of Miami Heat superstar LeBron James - the LeBron 11 Low, which will come out in Atomic Mango/Light Base Grey-Kumquat-Medium Base Grey colorway.
"Inspired by the bright colors of Florida oranges, the new Atomic Mango colorway is complemented nicely by Base Gray elements, Kumquat accents and a speckle midsole," the shoe as described by Nike.
The LeBron 11 Low 'Atomic Mango' will be available for $170 per pair worldwide.
