Maks Chmerkovskiy's dating life is for the most part very exciting despite being mum about it. However, taking a break from all the rumors spiraling involving him, Meryl Davis and Jennifer Lopez, the Ukrainian pro dancer shared a "Throwback Thursday" snap that caused a huge stir among his fans.
In the photo, a long-haired Maks Chmerkovskiy could be seen kissing his former friend Carrie Ann Inaba. The pic was taken a couple of years back when Maks first joined the show as a dancing pro.
"In the spirit of #TBT I give you Season 2 wrap party, when @carrieanninaba and I were friends ;)" 34-year-old Maks captioned the photo.
Back in 2012, Carrie Ann confessed that she and Maks Chemrkovskiy usually get into an argument and kept butting heads because they are both "passionate Capricorns" and that whenever she is sporting something red on set, everyone should prepare for a battle.
Now, because of their frenemy status, many are saying that if Maks joins the forthcoming season of DWTS as judge, show fans will be treated with occasional sparring between the two.
News that Maks could be heading to the judges' panel came after he and Meryl Davis won the mirror ball trophy this Dancing with the Stars season 18 and after Len Goodman revealed that he is unfortunately leaving the show for good.
On the other hand, apart from the speculations that he might be joining DWTS as judge next season, Maks is also being plagued by rumors that he is dating either Meryl Davis or Jennifer Lopez.
However, up to now, Chmerkovskiy is either tight-lipped or throwing jokes about the speculations. He has never addressed them as true or false and gave statements that make fans hope that he could indeed be romancing Meryl Davis.
As for Jennifer Lopez, sources have come out to slam the rumors between the singer and his one-time dance partner.
"Maksim made it clear to everyone who looked ... he's not dating Jennifer Lopez - even though he himself stoked the coals," a TMZ insider said.
On the other hand, another source claimed that Maks is open to dating J.Lo. and that their soon-to-unfold relationship is no delusion.
"[They] are just friends, but I'm sure he'd love it if they were more," said another source of the two. "He really likes her. He thinks she's beautiful, really cool and down-to-earth."
