Peaches Geldof's death, for the most part, came as a surprise to many people since the bizarre passing was covered with mystery from the day her body was found dead and even after a couple of months after.
However, a British coroner has now come out to reveal the truth about Peaches Geldof's death, and according to him, the 25-year-old apparently died of heroin overdose, BBC News has learned.
To give closure to TV presenter Peaches Geldof's death mystery, a coroner has released the official results of the investigation, which point to heroin overdose as the primary reason why Geldof died.
It can be noted that Peaches was found dead in her Kent home on April 7, and authorities said that time that Geldof's death was "unexplained and sudden," noted The Hollywood Reporter.
In the wake of her passing, Geldof's struggle with heroin addiction was exposed. The daughter of Irish rock singer Sir Bob Geldof reportedly took substitute drug methadone for almost two and a half years prior to her demise.
In May, police revealed that a toxicology report suggested that there was heroin in Peaches' system at the time of her death.
Police then launched a criminal inquiry "into the supply of drugs" in Geldof's house that may have led to her death.
Although authorities discovered 6.9 grams of heroin inside Peaches Geldof's house, there was no indication that she planned to kill herself.
Tom Cohen, Peaches' musician husband, said that his wife had returned to using drugs again starting February this year.
Cohen dished that while Geldof gave up using heroin in November 2013, his wife's latest text messages prior to her death indicated that she has returned to using heroin again in February.
Tom also claimed that he does not know that 6.9 grams of heroin was present in their house until the police search though he has caught Peaches flushing drugs in their attic toilet one time.
Shedding more light on Peaches Geldof's death, pathologist Peter Jerreat said that Geldof's elbows were full of puncture wounds, Her wrists and thumbs notably have high levels of heroin that are within the "fatal range" already.
Apart from heroin, codeine, methadone and morphine were also found in Peaches' blood.
Peaches Geldof's mother Paula Yates also died of heroin overdose when the TV presenter was just 11.
