Reality star and model Nicole Murphy is opening up about her split from Michael Strahan for the first time.
Nicole Murphy says that she and her ex-fiancé Michael Strahan will remain friends.
Her comments come after the couple ended their five-year engagement amid accusations the former NFL star had cheated on her.
Earlier this week, sources close to the couple told People that it was distance that drove them apart -- and that both Michael Strahan, 42, and Nicole Murphy, 46, may already be seeing other people.
"They've been having problems for two years and have been off and on throughout," the source said. "Him dating someone would come as no surprise to Nicole."
The pair, who have nine children between them -- four from Michael Strahan's previous marriages and five from Nicole Murphy's -- first started dating in 2007. Nicole Murphy was previously married to actor Eddie Murphy, while Michael Strahan divorced second wife Jean Muggli in 2006.
She spoke about Michael on the same day she was seen moving her belongings out of a storage facility, no doubt in preparation for when she moves out of their home.
Wearing a black Lycra leggings and plain long-sleeved top, the green-eyed beauty seemed to be getting quite a work out as she and a friend lugged bags and boxes to and fro at the storage unit.
Nicole's decision to move on with her life comes after Strahan reportedly spent Tuesday evening with another beautiful woman.
The Hall Of Famer was spotted spending time with personal trainer Latreal Mitchell and some friends at STK Downtown in New York City.
'He appeared to be in good spirits, like there was nothing wrong at all,' an eyewitness said. 'He laughed easily as he sipped Don Julio while talking to Latreal.'
His relationship with Nicole Murphy came to a very public end last week, although they had apparently been on the rocks for some time.
Meanwhile, Michael Strahan has yet to comment on the breakup although his rep did say: "They love each other very much, but with the distance and work schedule it has been hard to maintain the relationship."
We think these two stars are great people and we hope that maybe they can end up working things out.
