According to recent reports, Aerosmith's drummer Joey Kramer has suffered heart-related complications. Therefore, the band has canceled its Let Rock Rule tour date tonight (August 13).
The legendary pop rock group has cancelled their Concord, California, show on Wednesday night with the venue's Facebook page explaining the sudden cancellation is 'due to illness' of their drummer Joey Kramer.
"The band regrets not being able to perform for their fans," a message at Aerosmith's Facebook page says, before directing ticketholders to refund sites.
Members of the legendary band tour crew told TMZ that Joey Kramer; the 64-year-old drummer will undergo heart surgery and has had heart-related complications in the past - though that's obviously unconfirmed.
The Concord venue Pavilion's Facebook page stated on Wednesday: 'Due to illness, Aerosmith has been forced to cancel tonight's performance at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, CA.
'The band regrets not being able to perform for their fans. Refunds will be available at point of purchase.'
Live Nation's website also made an announcement: 'This event has been canceled. Refunds at Point of Purchase only. Internet & Phone orders will automatically be canceled & refunded.'
Meanwhile, Aerosmith announced on their website: 'The band apologizes for the inconvenience to its fans.'
A concert set for later this week at George, Washington, has also reportedly been nixed, according to TMZ. The 'Let Love Tour,' which finds the Boston legends teaming up with former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, is currently scheduled to continue through September.
The next date scheduled on the tour is on Saturday in Quincy, Washington.
Almost all fans and people close to the legendary band Aerosmith are saddened and bummed because of the cancellation of the concert but fans and people who cared for the band together with their families and friends send well wishes for the fast recovery of their most beloved drummer Joey Kramer.
