On August 25, 2014, the grandest night in television, the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be held at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, California. Due to the schedule conflicts with the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards and the Sunday Night Football, it was reportedly said the ceremony is being held a month earlier than norm. Host-comedian Seth Meyers will be a first time host for the prestigious show. But who will reign supreme in the awards night? Who will be the biggest winners?
The show reportedly made some changes in their voting procedures and announced changes to some awards and categories.
Among the list of the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards presenters are Kerry Washington, Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, Adam Levine and Matthew McConaughhey. Gwen Stefani, Amy Poehler, Sofia Vergara, Julianna Marguilles and Zooey Deschanel are also seemingly among the presenters.
In the Emmy Awards "In Memoriam" segment, a special accolade will also be given to actor-comedian Robin Williams who died last August 11, 2014.
Some of the programs that gained major nominations in the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are The Normal Heart, Downtown Abbey, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Good Wife, The Big Bang Theory, Mad Men and Modern Family.
HBO is one of the networks who gained the most number of nominations. John Hamm, Kevin Spacey and Matthew McConaughey are among the nominees in the Best Actor in a Drama Series category. Their counterparts are Claire Danes, Kerry Washington and Julianna Marguiles to name a few nominees in the Best Actress in a Drama Series category.
Peter Dinklage, Jim Carter and Aaron Paul are also nominated in the Best Supporting Actor section, while Anna Gunn, Christina Hendricks and Maggie Smith are amongst the nominees for Best Supporting Actresses.
The Voice, Project Runway, The Amazing Race, Dancing With The Stars, Top Chef and So You Think You Can Dance are nominated in the Best Reality Competition Program category. Matt Le Blanc and Jim Parsons are among the nominees for Best Actor in a Comedy Series while Edie Falco and Amy Poehler for Best Actress in a Comedy series.
The biggest question for the television's grandest night is: Who will reign supreme in this year's 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards? Well, stay tuned and watch out for the winners on August 25.
