James Wright Foley, a 40 year old freelance American photojournalist was beheaded by ferocious Iraqi militants showed in a gruesome video entitled "A message to America" posted on Tuesday.
James Foley was reportedly abducted in Syria almost two years ago and was last seen on Thanksgiving while working for Agence France-Presse. He was kidnapped in Northern Syria while on his way to the Turkish border, according to reports.
The Iraqi Militants posted the video in retaliation for the US assaults against the rebels in Iraq. The said video showed head shaven James Foley wearing an orange prisoner jumpsuit, on his knees with a knife placed on his neck. Beside him is the vicious Iraqi killer, a jihadist with a southern English accent ready to behead the kidnapped journalist.
Before his beheading, James Foley was coerced to recite a statement blaming the US for his death. The bloodthirsty terrorist that was seen on the video said by addressing US President Barrack Obama that any attempt to deny the Muslims their liberty and safety under the Islamic caliphate will result in blood mayhem in reference to the US assaults against them. Since early August, seventy US airstrikes had been launched targeting IS positions in Northern Iraq.
Another American journalist was also being held by the terrorists. Steven Joel Sotloff, a Time news reporter, also appeared on the video and was threatened to be next to die.
Upon verification, the White House reportedly said that the US intelligence has been analyzing the authenticity of the video though two US officials have said to believe the video was real. Though US President Barrack Obama was mummed on making an official statement, White House National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said that the US were appalled by the brutal killing of the said journalist and that they express their deepest condolences to the victim's friends and family.
British Prime Minister David Cameron ordered an investigation on the identification of the killer on the video. French President Francois Hollande called an international conference for Islamic State assault discussions.
The Islamic State, also known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, are responsible for the gruesome video post showing the murder of the abducted innocent journalist whose life was sacrificed due to the Iraqi militants' retaliation against the US airstrikes assaults in Iraq.
