Real Madrid Transfer Rumors: Cristiano Ronaldo Eyeing Return to Manchester United?

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo said in a recent interview that he is interested in returning to Manchester United at some point of his career.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Ronaldo said in an interview that Manchester United still has a place in his heart and he would love to play at the Old Trafford again.

"I love Manchester," Ronaldo said. "Everyone knows that. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there. The supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day."

Ronaldo, who played at the Old Trafford from 2003 to 2009, insisted that Manchester United played a big role in his development as a player, and he wants to repay the fans for their support during his years at Old Trafford.

The 29-year-old star forward also praised the Red Devils for the recent moves that they made, particularly the loan agreement with AS Monaco that netted them star striker Radamel Falcao.

Ronaldo knows that Manchester United are having a slow start this season, but Falcao's acquisition, which came after the Red Devils also acquired Ronaldo's good friend Angel Di Maria, will help the team turn their season around.

"He is a very good player - I think United did very well," Ronaldo said. "He will be a fantastic buy. United have not started well, so they need quality players. And Falcao is a quality player."

The Portugal international recently questioned the transfer moves made by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez this during the summer window.

Following a successful Champions League campaign, Real Madrid signed James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos and Keylor Navas, while parting ways with Di Maria and Xabi Alonso to balance their finances.

"If I was in charge, maybe I would not do things like that," Ronaldo said via ESPN FC. "Everyone has their opinion and is free to say what they think. If the president thinks that the best thing for the team is to sign these players and let go those who left then we have to respect and support his decision."

Ronaldo added that the moves that they made will force them to make changes this season, which is the reason why they struggled in their first few games this season.
