Lady Antebellum's Dave Haywood welcomed his first born son with wife Kelli Cashiola Haywood on September 7, 2014.
In the midst of Lady Antebellum trio's Take Me Downtown Tour that began on January, Dave Haywood officially welcomed his first child with wife Kelli on Sunday. The couple's bundle of joy was named Cash Van Haywood.
Dave Haywood's first born son came a little earlier than anticipated, so Lady Antebellum decided to cancel their Sunday night show at Allegan County Fair in Michigan to give Dave the opportunity to be with his family.
Cash Van Haywood, Dave Haywood's son of the American country music trio, weighed in at seven pounds. His cute name was taken from her mother's maiden name, Cashiola while Van is the name of Dave's father. Cash is the second baby in the Lady Antebellum fold following Hillary Scott, the group's lead singer and husband Chris Tyrell's one-year old daughter, Eisele Kaye Tyrell.
Dave Haywood and Kelli Cashiola became engaged in December 2011 after 7 months of dating and were married on April 2012. They announced that they were having a baby a week following their second wedding anniversary. As per Lady Antebellum's posts on social media sites Twitter and Facebook, the proud parents were so happy to finally have their baby boy and they were doing great.
Dave Haywood is an American country music singer and the third of the band Lady Antebellum. He plays the piano, guitar and mandolin and sings back-up vocals. Before his son's arrival, the couple was in full-on baby mode. He recently told People that they've been reading, preparing, talking and thinking through every scenario for the delivery and labor and how they want to be parents. He also added that they know when the moment happens; all hell is going to break loose. Dave Haywood also admitted that he practiced diapering Eisele Kay, Hillary Scott's daughter.
Meanwhile, Dave Haywood has a little interval to get used to his new role as a father. Lady Antebellum's next show will be on September 28 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The group will be extremely busy promoting their new album, "747" which will be released on September 30.
Last week, Lady Antebellum's Dave Haywood told Flipside PA that the group is all growing up together and starting their families. They were re-inspired as it feels like a new chapter. The group's Take Me Downtown Tour will end at the Carnival Live Concert Series in Cozumel, Mexico on November 19 to 20, 2014. With their successful concert tour, new album and their growing family, it is indeed a blissful time for a fête.
