Barclays Premier League News: Manchester United Introduces Radamel Falcao, Dailey Blind

Manchester United introduced new acquisitions Radamel Falcao and Dailey Blind on Thursday at Old Trafford with both players expressing commitment to help the squad bounce back from a dismal year.

Falcao, who was acquired via a one-year loan agreement worth £12 million with AS Monaco with an option to buy next season, said in an interview that playing for a big club like Manchester United is a dream come true for him.

While he has enjoyed success over the past several years with Atletico Madrid and Monaco, Falcao said that he is looking forward to more achievements at Old Trafford starting this season.

"I believe in this project," Falcao said via ESPN FC. "I think Manchester United is the best club for my style of play and I am sure about my decision. This project in the future will be great for us. I think Manchester United build a big team this season and in future seasons and I would like to be here and part of his project."

Falcao, who netted 20 goals in just 33 games in all competitions for Monaco last season, has just recovered from a surgery that repaired a torn ACL in his left knee, which put him on the sidelines last season, including in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

When asked about his confidence coming off a major knee injury, the Colombian striker shrugged off fears about his health, saying that he has been feeling good over the past two months.

"I feel well, I started to play two months ago with Monaco and I've improved in the last month a lot," said Falcao, who scored three goals in five games for Monaco before the loan agreement was struck. "I have scored goals and that's important to a striker. I am confident with my physical form and I am comfortable with my knee."

Blind, who was acquired via a transfer deal with Ajax, also said that he is committed to helping Manchester United move on top of the Barclays Premier League again following a seventh-place finish last season.

Blind believes that his relationship with Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal, who also coached him with the Netherlands national team, will help his succeed at Old Trafford.

"The manager gave me a lot of trust during the World Cup and the qualification games. I'm happy to work again with the coach," Blind said via Manchester United's official website. "I've learned a lot from him and hope I learn more and get better with every game."
