Hillary Clinton’s Iowa Visit Triggers 2016 Presidential Rumors

Hillary Clinton returned to Iowa on Sunday for the first time after her 2008 presidential bid. The visit triggered more White House rumors for her 2016 presidential ambitions.

Along with her husband, former US President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton visited Iowa for the 37th annual steak fry fundraiser in Indianola led by outgoing Senator Tom Harkin.

The former secretary of state, Hillary Clinton was tracked by a media mob and spoke to the 5,000 Democratic activists' crowd. At the event where it celebrated the Iowa lawmaker Tom Harkin's 40-year political career, Hillary addressed her audience that she's back and dropped several hints that suggested she will run again in 2016.

Hillary Clinton's presence at the event sparked rumors about her presidential ambitions. However, she said that she will officially decide early next year for the 2016 campaign. Hillary also insisted that her priority was helping Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections.

During her Iowa visit, Hillary Clinton shook hands and posed for pictures with supporters. She even signed autographs and flipped steaks. She also snubbed questions and queries about her plans on the 2016 elections.

Hillary Clinton praised Tom Harkin for his record of service and called on the activists' crowd to honor the lawmaker's legacy by working as hard as they can for Democrats on the upcoming November elections. US Representative Bruce L. Braley, Harkin's protégé, is running for his seat against Republican state Senator Joni Ernst.

Hillary Clinton's Iowa visit if her first undeviating sortie into politics since she stood down as the secretary of state and her first return since the state's Democrats sent a devastating political blow to her campaign almost seven years ago.

The host of the crucial, first in-the-nation assembly, Iowa, is where Hillary Clinton's White House aspirations instigated to unravel. She was considered as the leading candidate nationally going into the caucus but she ended up third behind current US President Barack Obama and John Edwards.
