The Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos will collide on Sunday in a rematch of the last Super Bowl, while the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys will also see action.
The Seahawks and Broncos met in Super Bowl XLVIII in February where Seattle ran away with a 43-8 victory led by Russell Wilson who threw for 206 yards, while Richard Sherman dominated on the defensive end.
The win by Seattle was the most lopsided victory in a Super Bowl in over 20 years, but Broncos safety David Bruton said that they have already moved on from it and Sunday's match will be a different one.
"We've moved passed it, it happened, but we want to make our stamp on the league," Bruton said via ESPN. "As of right now it's just another game. We can't change the outcome of last season."
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is expecting a big game from their squad, especially after losing to the Broncos in the preseason. The defending Super Bowl champions are also coming off a 30-21 loss to San Diego last week.
"I'm sure this is a really important game to them again. As it is to us," Carroll said. "I think there was something going on in the preseason. I think it was a big deal for them. I don't blame them one bit."
Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers will look to bounce back from a disappointing defeat when they collide with the Arizona Cardinals at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Led by quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who threw for 248 yards along with 64 rushing yards, the 49ers looked poise to score their second win in as many games, but the Chicago Bears escaped with a 28-20 win after scoring three touchdowns in the final period.
The Dallas Cowboys will also be in action on Sunday when they take on the St. Louis Rams. The Cowboys are looking to score their second straight win after emerging victorious against the Tennessee Titans last week.
