Billy Connolly recently revealed that his close friend Robin williams called him up days before he took his life.
The comedian said that his friend Williams telephoned him in order to say thank you for the actor’s advice regarding Parkinson’s disease of which the two of them have been diagnosed with.
Billy said through The Daily Mirror, “He phoned me a week later, just days before it happened, and he said ‘it’s brilliant it’s working’’ He continued, “During the call he kept telling me he loved me. I said ‘I know’. But he kept repeating it saying ‘do you really know I love you’. I was thinking what the f*** is he on about?”
He ended his statement, “After his death I thought, 'Oh my God he was saying goodbye.'"
Billy Connolly had known Williams for three decades. He, then, told the newspaper that upon the death of his dear old friend he was in Malta together with his family.
Williams shot to fame was during the 1970s in a comedy series entitled, ‘Mork & Mindy’. He received and Academy award for his role as a therapist in the movie, ‘Good Will Hunting’.
He shocked the world last month, not with his comedic antics but with his death. He apparently committed suicide at his home in San Francisco, California.
He is survived by his wife Susan Schneider and 3 children, Zelda Rae Williams, Zachary Pym Williams, and Cody Alan Williams.
Williams was 63 when he died.
