Many customers of Apple's new iPhone 6 Plus have been alarmed at their Smartphone's pliability as it reportedly easily bends under minimal pressure.
Since the beginning of the week, many customers have turned to tech forums to express their dismay as they observed their iPhone 6 Plus emerged contorted after it had been stored in their pockets for a short while.
Reports indicate that due to its thin design and aluminum housing, the new Smartphone can indeed be bent with little force. However, it is unclear if the device can sustain any damages from repeated bending.
The revelation that Apple's new Smartphone is pliable has generated a wave of comments, rumors and speculations. Although this is not really unusual after a product launch by this company - which is regarded as one of the most successful tech manufacturers in the world - the question remains as to whether the pliability of the iPhone 6 is a design flaw or an ergonomic experiment.
Experts say while many other brands of Smartphones - including Apple's iPhone 5 and 5S - are known to be pliable, the instances of this occurrence were few and far between. However, numerous customers have reported experiencing this problem with the ultra thin iPhone 6 Plus. Pundits have noted that the iPhone 6 Plus seems to surpass other Smartphones - including the iPhone 6 - in its ability to be contorted without developing permanent damages.
Apple is yet to officially make any comment about this debate. But it is likely the company will make a statement to allay the fears of its customers as concerns about the iPhone 6's pliability continue to gain ground.
Earlier in the week, Apple revealed that the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus had broken its launch weekend sales record after about 10 million devices were sold this past weekend.
