The US and her allies have continued anti-ISIL airstrikes in Iraq and Syria. The latest wave of bombings are reported to have targeted an important oil-hub controlled by the jihadists.
On Friday, the US military announced that 10 targets were hit between yesterday and today by remotely piloted aircrafts.
Five ISIL tanks are confirmed to have been destroyed by three airstrikes targeting the south and southeast of Dayr az Zawr in Syria.
Reports indicate that the group's headquarters in the southeast of Mayadeen and some of its tanks in Zeir al-Zour were also targeted and destroyed.
The US led coalition, which includes some Middle Eastern nations, has been bombing the terrorist's weapon stock pile and key oil facilities.
Commentators say the strikes are meant to slow down the growth of this jihadist organization. ISIL is considered to be one of the wealthiest terrorist groups in history and reportedly makes over $2 million daily from illegal oil sales.
On Friday, after warning of the ISIL threat, British Prime Minister David Cameron underscored the necessity for the UK to join the current airstrikes against the Sunni group in Iraq and Syria.
British MPs voted overwhelming in favor of the military intervention, which according to reports would not include soldiers on the ground, but would be limited to airstrikes and providing Kurdish and Iraqi soldiers with much needed military training in border countries.
The British Premier echoed President Obama's remarks this week when he called on other nations to also join the fight against ISIL, adding that the group's activities threatened everyone.
