Demi Lovato got engaged over the weekend during a stop on her Demi World Tour in Moline, Illinois. An adorable 5-year-old boy proposed to the 22-year-old pop star. So, did she just toss aside boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama now?
Demi Lovato is an American actress, singer and songwriter who made her debut as a child actress in "Barney and Friends." She rose to fame in Disney's "Camp Rock" and signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records. In April 2011, it was announced that she has a bipolar disorder.
Demi Lovato has a colorful personal life. She dated Trace Cyrus, Miley Cyrus' half-older brother in 2009, then in 2010; she briefly dated Jonas Brothers' Joe Jonas. But now she is dating on-off boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, an American actor, singer, producer and dancer. But with the latest buzz that Lovato is engaged with a much younger man, what happens to Valderrama?
Meanwhile, going back to the engagement, the 5-year-old boy named Grant had a sign saying, "Demi I have a ring for you," as stated by the CNN. And since the pop star was intrigued, People said the boy was invited on the stage.
"You are the cutest little boy ever," Lovato exclaimed to Grant, who was curtly outfitted in a red pants plus a denim jacket.
Demi Lovato asked to see the ring, which the fervent boy had forgotten to bring onstage. Luckily, his family carried the ring to adorable Grant, who sweetly held it out in front of her. However, the singer showed she is a traditional woman and insisted the boy to get on one knee for a proper proposal.
"Demi, will you marry me?" the boy sweetly asked.
The arena was filled with chorus of cheers while the singer promptly answered.
"I will," Lovato squealed.
Then Grant put the ring on the singer's finger and the newly "engaged" couple sealed the relationship with a huge embrace and a kiss on the check.
Demi Lovato did not keep the proposal a secret. She posted it on her social media account, Instagram. Meanwhile, the boy's family blissfully shared the engagement news on You Tube, posting the proposal's video.
"Oh and by the way guys...... I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Lovato said. "❤❤❤ thank you to my future husband Grant... #CUTESTEVER #demiworldtour."
Demi Lovato, who is currently in a relationship with 34-year-old Wilmer Valderrama, is staging her North American tour which started in September.
