Amanda Bynes 2014 - The parents of Amanda Bynes discreetly went to court to obtain conservatorship. Her parents requested the custody after telling the judge that their daughter is a "substantial risk to herself" and others.
The legal documents filed by Amanda Bynes' parents this 2014 noted her erratic behavior, including her latest DUI arrest last month, her shoplifting and her strange and sometimes violent conduct in New York. According to TMZ, the docs also revealed the troubled actress is spending an outrageous amount of her savings.
"Proposed conservatee's behavior includes her arrest for DUI on or about September 28, 2014," the legal document obtained by E! News stated. "Thereafter, surveillance video was released to media outlets, which depicted the proposed conservatee attempting to shoplift and engage in bizarre dancing inside a New York clothing store on or about October 8, 2014. She reportedly scratched a woman who approached her at a party in New York."
The legal docs also showed that Bynes has been blowing through shocking amounts of money and has been buying gifts for strangers, including an expensive Cartier jewelry.
Amanda Bynes' parents stated that the actress' 2014 net worth is $5,747,703.36; about fifty percent is real estate assets. Her parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, also said that her only source of income is from her rental property which is $144,768 last year.
The conservatorship granted to Amanda Bynes' parents this 2014 came after the actress' commitment at a treatment facility outside of Los Angeles. The Huffington Post reported Bynes' doctors had been granted a 30-day extension on her stay at the Las Encinas treatment facility in Pasadena.
Amanda Bynes' involuntary commitment to the hospital started Oct. 10, 2014 when she was put on a 72-hour psychiatric hold. It was extended for 14 days after the initial three days hold.
Earlier this month, before Amanda Bynes got into the facility, the 28-year-old actress made the news for displaying odd behavioral conduct including her sexual abuse accusations against her father on social media.
"My dad was verbally and physically abuse to me as a child," she wrote on Twitter. "He called me ugly as a child and then asked me if I wanted to have sex with him and I did not know how to respond and I said no and then I was forced to live with my dad which was a total nightmare."
The troubled actress later retracted the allegations.
"My dad never did any of those things," she said. "The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me."
This 2014, Amanda Bynes' parents were granted temporary conservatorship over their daughter; while the actress remains on psychiatric hold.
