Derrick Rose is still bothered by his injured ankles, but the Chicago Bulls superstar will likely start in their upcoming match against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday at United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Rose, who is still working his way back from two straight major knee injuries, sprained both his ankles during their 114-108 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.
The 26-year-old point guard did not play in their 106-105 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday for precautionary measures, but he participated without limitation in their shootaround on Tuesday morning.
"I'm feeling good," Rose said after their shootaround via ESPN Chicago. "Every day it's improving. I'll come in early tonight and really stretch and get treatment, try to go over everything in every area and try to give it a go tonight."
Rose, who averaged 16.5 points to go along with 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in their first two games this season, admitted that he was frustrated after hurting both his ankles, but he reiterated that he can't do anything about it was not his fault.
"There's nothing I can do about it," Rose said. "I'd have something to worry about if I just twisted it by myself, nobody was around, but I came down on somebody's foot and that was the reason why I sprained it."
"These are just basketball related, something that's just going to happen. It's a basketball injury, so I just got to get used to it. I think it's part of the process, you just got to keep going through it with a positive mindset."
Taj Gibson, who also missed their win against the Timberwolves due to a sprained left ankle, is also expected to play on Tuesday night, while Joakim Noah is listed as a game-time decision due to flu-like symptoms, which forced him to skip their shootaround.
The Bulls-Magic match will start at 8:00 PM EST and will be shown live on FS Florida and CSN-Chicago. Online streaming of the game will be available via NBA League Pass.
