Honey Boo Boo - June "Mama June" Shannon has announced that she would play the role of a trailer park wife in the upcoming sequel of 'Dumb and Dumber To.'
The 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' star, who has been plagued by a family sex scandal involving her relationship with two sex offenders convicted of child molestation, made the revelation via her daughter Alana Thompson's Facebook page.
"I know with all the craziness going on now but I'm very excited to announce that I'm going to be in the new Dumb and Dumber To," June said.
The 35-year-old could lose custody of her children after allegations about her ongoing relationship with Mark McDaniel; a man who served 10 years for molesting her Anna "Chickadee' Cardwell, 20, when she was only a child.
Reports indicate that in Mama June's appearance on the highly anticipated sequel of Dumb and Dumber To, she plays Harry's (Jeff Daniel's) trailer park wife.
Some critics have described her cameo appearance as inappropriate given her recent family sex scandal. According to reports, some scenes raise questions especially since Jim Carrey's character is lusting after a girl (harry's daughter) who is twice his age.
"In the scene, Lloyd (Jim Carrey) goes to pick up Harry's daughter for a date and ends up groping Mama June's ample bosom," according to a People.com report.
Mama June said she was excited and honored for her role in the much awaited sequel, which is already in theaters with an expected box office opening of over $30 million.
"I am very appreciative for the opportunity and the experience of doing something like the Farrelly brothers," Mama June also said in the statement.
Universal Pictures have not officially made a statement on Mama June's controversial role on the flick, which was filmed earlier in the year.
