"The Young and the Restless" star Corey Sligh was mauled by a pair of drunk men on Thanksgiving night.
In a report by CBS News, the 27-year old actor along with girlfriend Alisa Berhost was outside a Rite Aid store in West Hollywood to bring dinner to a friend when the two men went speeding around the parking lot.
Berhost stated that Sligh was merely calling both men out for reckless driving, asking them to slow down.
"They almost hit people in the parking lot," Berhost said in an interview with Laurie Perez of KCAL 9. "They were hitting curbs, and Corey said, 'Please slow down or we're gonna call the cops. Just go home.'"
Irritated by what happen, one of the men allegedly walked up to Sligh, threatening violence.
'The guy walked up on him like "I'm in the mood to kill somebody and this is who it's going to be because he told me to be careful and slow down and go away."'
Sligh suffered from a broken arm after the incident, and was given medical attention by the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
In a separate report by ABC7, Sligh detailed the entire ordeal, which was described by his girlfriend as "one of the scariest moments of her life."
"So I just went up to them and said, 'Look guys, they're calling the cops, you guys gotta get out of here,'" he narrated. "And then he looked me dead in the eye, and kicked his door open into my chest. So I just started to walk off."
Sligh is now out of harm's way as he continues to recuperate from his injuries. And while the entire experience was traumatizing, to say the least, the actor/model is still thankful that he survived with minor injuries only.
"I'm just really thankful that I am alive and that in a few days I am going to go home to Georgia and see my nephews and nieces and my friends," he said. "I have no hate towards these guys."
The suspects were arrested eventually, after crashing their vehicle in the attempt to escape. Both men are reportedly facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
