Chris Rock Obama Shaq Analogy: Comedian Speaks Candidly About President Obama's Performance And Race Relations

Chris Rock Obama Shaq - Comedian and actor Chris Rock has given his not-so-funny thoughts on President Barrack Obama's tenure and race relations in the country ahead of the 2016 presidential elections during an interview with Frank Rich about the release of his upcoming movie Top Five.

When asked about how he would rate President Obama's legacy, the comedian said although he wasn't disappointed with his overall performance, the president could have done better. He explained his analysis using an NBA analogy.

"Everybody wanted Michael Jordan, right? We got Shaq," Rock said. "That's not a disappointment. You know what I mean? We got Charles Barkley. It's still a Hall of Hall of Fame career. The president should be judged on jobs and peace, and the other stuff is debatable," Rock added.

After the Chris Rock Obama Shaq analogy, the 49-year-old said Obama's tenure at the oval office would have turned out differently if he did nothing to save the crumpling economy.

"When Obama first got elected, he should have let it all just drop. Just let the country flatline. Let the auto industry die. Don't bail anybody out. In sports, that's what any new GM does. They make sure that the catastrophe is on the old management and then they clean up. They don't try to save old management's mistakes," Rock said.

When asked about what his daughters think of the president's daughters - Malia and Sasha - who have been in the news following Republican Elizabeth Lauten's criticisms of them.

Rock said his daughters - Lola and Zahra - look up to the Obama girls."They [Lola and Zahra] think they're cute. The Obama girls are older than them, which make them want to play with them more. They look at their hair, they way they dress. They wanted that dog. You know."

Apart from the Chris Rock Obama Shaq analogy, the comedian also gave his thoughts on race relations in America, with Ferguson in focus. He said the first step to progressive race relations would have to be taken by the Caucasian people.

"The question is, you know, my kids are smart, educated, beautiful, polite children. There have been smart, educated, beautiful, polite black children for hundreds of years. The advantage that my children have is that my children are encountering the nicest white people that America has ever produced. Let's hope America keeps producing nicer white people," Rock said.

The Chris Rock Obama Shaq analogy has been widely reported online. While some critics have taken the comments as a let-down of the president's performance, others have noted that the Chris Rock Obama Shaq analogy is simply a creative way of assessing the president's troubled tenure. But not everyone agrees with it
