Jerry Hall slams plastic surgery - During a recent interview with HELLO, model and actress Jerry Hall said she loathes plastic surgery and described both the procedure and the people who undergo it as idiotic.
On Monday, the 58-year-old had an exclusive interview and photo shoot, where she talked about her work, kids and past relationship with Mick Jagger. Also, Jerry Hall slams plastic surgery.
"It's so idiotic when they risk their lives to have surgery, every time you have anesthesia, you're killing a lot of your brain cells. Why would you do that? You could get infections, you could die," the interview where Jerry Hall slams plastic surgery reads.
She noted that women who undergo plastic surgery are insecure and pathetic. She questioned the logic of risking your life for a procedure that makes you look scary.
"Why make yourself look [like a] grotesque caricature of yourself," Hall asked. "They don't fool anyone."
Recently, actress Renee Zellweger was at the center of controversy after unveiling her newly sculpted face in October. The 45 year actress has nonetheless denied undergoing plastic surgery. She said her dramatic facial change was due to a change of her lifestyle.
"They look like pathetic, insure creatures. I loathe the whole thing," Jerry Hall slams plastic surgery. Still the Texas native says she can understand why old women, especially actress would want to undergo plastic surgery. But she insists that it's a sad and misguided method to fight the tides of nature.
"Older women aren't valued, because they can't procreate, right? But they should be valued for their experience, wisdom and power," Hall argued.
"I don't mean to be critical, and I understand that actresses feel the pressure in Hollywood, they have to do it," Hall said. "I respect that and I feel sorry for them that they have to do it."
In the interview where Jerry Hall slams plastic surgery, she also said she finds it unnecessary for normal women outside Hollywood to undergo different procedures to please men.
""But for normal women to do it?" If men want to leave their wives for a 19-year-old, they're gonna do it anyway. All the facelifts and Botox in the world isn't going to change that guy, you know," Hall explained. She said her secret to remaining young and beautiful was tied to her yoga routines and healthy diet.
