Tony Blair scary Christmas card - Since the beginning of the week, the internet has been agog with a curious new discovery - The Blairs 2014 Christmas card.
It would seem that the former British PM, who is now 61, along with his lovely wife Cherie, 60, were aiming for a modest photoshoot that portrayed them enjoying life out of pressure of public office. The niche would have been perfect, except Tony Blair spotted a very uncomfortable look.
The Tony Blair scary Christmas card had reportedly been taken as a hoax, according to local sources, until the office of the former PM confirmed that it is indeed a genuine Christmas card photo.
Naturally, the internet has gone amok with the Tony Blair scary Christmas card. But for all that has been said about it, the former PM does not in any way spread the Christmas fever. Some critics have noted - quite correctly - that it comes off more as a dull attempt at a Halloween photo than a Christmas card photo.
It is interesting to note that the Tony Blair scary Christmas card does not feature any of the conventional symbols associated with this time of the year - well, except we can agree Cherie's red dress could pass for Santas' garb. Also, and most importantly, the former British first family heads do not seem to be in a holiday mood - as it is usually the case with family portraits used on the cover of Christmas cards.
According to critics, the Tony Blair scary Christmas photo looks as though Cherie is attempting to hold Tony from attacking the photographer or making an irrational decision. Or worse, they were striking for a ventriloquist pose. Perhaps, there's a story behind the photo...only time will tell.
For now, we must accept that the Tony Blair scary Christmas card was indeed the former Labour politician's way of spreading the holiday fever. Funny it seems to have a Halloween vibe.
