Lil Wayne new album 2014 - Multi platinum rapper Lil Wayne has announced that the release of his upcoming album Tha Carter V has been pushed back again. Lil Wayne apologized to his fans for yet another delay of his eleventh solo studio album, which was scheduled to hit stores on Tuesday.
This past Thursday, the 32 years old took to social media to express his disappointment. In a series of tweets, Lil Wayne blamed his recording company Cash Money Records - an associate of Universal Music Group.
Lil Wayne's new album rant on Twitter also targeted his "father" Bryan Williams (also known as Baby or Birdman), who is the label's chief executive and co-founder.
"To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it," Lil Wayne tweeted.
"This is not my fault, I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation," he added.
Lil Wayne's new album Tha Carter V was originally scheduled to be released on May 5th this year. But it was postponed to Oct.28th.
Lil Wayne announced that the anticipated album would be split in two. The first part was scheduled to be released on Tuesday. However he tweeted. "I worked on it way too much, way too much to give ya'll half of it." I refuse to cheat my fans, I refuse to cheat myself," he concluded.
Lil Wayne's new album rant on social media has gone viral. The rapper hinted at a split as he expressed his frustrations with Cash Money and his associates.
"I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain't that easy," Lil Wayne said. "I am a prisoner and so is my creativity. Again, I am truly sorry and I don't blame ya if ya fed up with me and this album. But thank you."
Lil Wayne's new album is expected to repeat the success of his previous release, which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Charts. The album was certified triple platinum after selling about a million records in the first week of it release.
