The Royal Visit: Kate Middleton And Prince William Finally Invade New York City For A 3-Day Visit

Kate Middleton and Prince William have finally arrived in New York City (NYC). The British royals will be in the US for a 3-day visit. They landed in John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday, Dec. 7 after a 7-hour British Airways flight. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's arrival marked the couple's first visit in the Big Apple.

Unsurprisingly, royal couple Kate Middleton and Prince William arrived in NYC for a jam-packed 3-day visit in their impeccable taste and style. According to The Daily Mail, the British royals were welcomed at the luxury Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan's Upper East Side by its general manager and almost 200 screaming New Yorkers.

During the NYC visit, five-months-pregnant Kate Middleton wore a burgundy coat by British maternity brand Séraphine. While Prince William wore a signature suit with a blue tie. E! News reported the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walked in their hotel hand in hand as they were greeted by a crowd of New Yorkers and photographers.

"It's good to be here," Prince William told Giovanni Beretta, the hotel's managing director before being escorted to his lavish suite complete with picturesque views of New York's Central Park. As said by Us Weekly, the hotel was a favorite of the prince's late mother, Princess Diana during US visits in the '90s.

As the British couple launch a charitable charm offensive on NYC, Kate Middleton and Prince William left their 16-month-old son, Prince George at home in the UK and is believed to be in the care of his grandmother Carole Middleton.

Hours after their touched down on a scheduled flight in London with their entourage, Kate Middleton and Prince William will be out socializing with some of NYC's richest men and women at a private dinner. According to People, the exclusively private dinner that the British royals will attend is for fundraisers of their Royal Foundation held at the residence of Sir Martin Sorrell.

On Dec. 8, Prince William will travel to Washington D.C. to meet US President Barack Obama and to give a vital speech to the International Corruption Hunters Alliance conference, which is being held at the World Bank. While in a Hollywood Life report, Kate Middleton will stay in NYC to visit the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem.

While on their 3-day NYC visit, Kate Middleton and Prince William will also attend a Brooklyn Nets basketball game at the Barclays Center.  

The British royals' NYC trip will conclude on Dec. 9. Kate Middleton and Prince William will attend an extravagant gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to support St. Andrews College in Scotland. They will also visit the National September 11th Memorial Museum.
