Anna Kendrick is making her fans want to sing more! With "Pitch Perfect" and "Pitch Perfect 2" on her resume, the star is bound to diva stardom. What's even more exciting is that she is going to lead fans to another musical world of "The Last Five Years."
The official trailer was released Monday and it already made waves. In this new movie, Kendrick's pipes were highlighted again. However, this time, she is going to portray a character named Cathy who is on a journey to finding out the ups and downs of falling in love. The trailer showed a preview of the jumping timeline of Cathy (Kendrick) and Jamie's (Jeremy Jordan) love story.
"The Last Five Years" is based on a Jason Robert Brown off-Broadway production of the same name. Brown's work was about the "deconstruction of a love affair and a marriage taking place over a five year period," according to YouTube. It features the story of a novelist and an actress making their way through the crowd. The only difference with the play and the film is that in the play, the two lovebirds were shown in a sequential order whereas the film will feature them sharing scenes together most of the time.
Fans can expect a mix of funny and honest emotions throughout the film.
There are no release dates for the film yet but the trailer implied it will be "coming soon."
