"Red Dead Redemption 2" will allegedly release a sequel that would involve cooperative play, Tweak Town reported.
Game developer Rockstar San Diego will reportedly release a sequel of the action-adventure game. Cooperative play is one of the rumored features of the sequel, wherein players can group as team mates to fight opponents.
A user in the internet forum NeoGaf posted about the news that reads: "So I spoke to an insider at Rockstar who confirmed that Rockstar is indeed developing a sequel to Red Dead Redemption for PS4/Xbox One. Don't have a lot of concrete details but expect co-op to be integrated and focused on".
News about the sequel has been going around for some time. Take-Two Interactive Software's executive Strauss Zelnick has hinted about it as well. "It seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise," Zelnick said, according to Here Is The City.
The said installment is only available for Xbox One and PS4. Game enthusiasts have been requesting for a follow up after it was released in 2010.
Other than that, pleas from fans to make a PC version of the game have been circulating. Rumors surfaced that a version for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 will be available in March 2015. However, no actual confirmation from Rockstar has been announced, K Drama Stars reported.
Reports about the alleged new game details have been discussed. "Red Dead" is reportedly getting ideas from "Grand Theft Auto V" to apply in their much awaited sequel.
The "GTA V "game mode "Grab a Bag" where players grab a bag of loot from opponents while riding a car will be featured in "Red Dead." Instead of cars, the new game will have horses as a means of transportation for grabbing.
"Tall Trees" is also another game mode to be added, wherein a death match hunting style will take place. To stay true to the Western theme, gamers will have to use pistols and shotguns as weapons, Christian Post reported.
As of this time, fans are eagerly waiting for an official statement from Rockstar regarding the game's release date.
