'Finding Dory' Movie Updates: Pixar Reveals Plot And Setting

The much-awaited sequel of "Finding Nemo" has finally revealed that it will take place in a different location, New York Daily News reported.

Pixar's Presdient Jim Morris has announced at Comic Con Experence the primary details of "Finding Dory." The sequel will supposedly take place six months after Nemo was found.

"The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised," Morris said.

Another exciting news is the addition of the adorable sea creatures. "We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others," Morris added.

The old cast will still be around for the sequel. Moorish Idol Gill and Damselfish Deb will both appear in the film along with the lead characters Marlin, Nemo and Dory.

Ellene Degeneres will return to voice Dory. Marlin will be voiced by Albert Brooks. Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton will voice Dory's father and mother respectively. Beluga whale Bailey will be voiced by Ty Burrell, Huffington Post reported.

Degeneres has expressed her excitement for the reprised role.

"I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating "Toy Story 16." But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is -- it's got a lot more Dory, "the comedian said, according to Vimeo.

The talk show host has discussed the possibility of a "Finding Nemo" sequel on her show "Ellen" several times. In 2013, DeGeneres finally revealed to her fans that "Finding Dory" is in the works. The campaign she has started eventually came true.

"Finding Dory" is scheduled to hit theaters on June 17, 2016.
