After starting out season 3 with a family reunion and an unexpected demise, "Arrow" Season 3 presents another challenge for Oliver Queen.
During the mid-season finale, the show finally revealed Sara Lance's killer: Thea Queen.
It has been featured on the previous episodes that Thea has decided to reach out to her real father Malcolm Merlin. For 6 months, Thea stayed and trained with Malcolm. However, their "bond" did not end there as Thea is now a part of Malcolm's web of evil schemes. In one way or another, he has successfully convinced Thea to join in his crusades.
When the arrow that killed Sara was investigated, everyone was surprised to learn that it was Oliver's DNA embedded on the arrow. The team finally concluded that if it was not Oliver, there could only be one other choice-Thea. Oliver tried to defend her sister and confronter her. Of course, Thea denied alllegations that she and Malcolm were in Starling City during the murder.
So, Ollie had to turn to the Arrow to get the truth. When the Arrow approached Thea, they had a fight. Ollie was taken aback by Thea's newfound strength.
When Malcolm learned about Ollie's attack, he went to Ollie and they had an argument that lead to Ollie threatening Malcolms life until Malcolm showed him a video of Thea shooting Sara with three arrows. Malcolm said that Thea was drugged at the time. He used a brainwashing drug called Ventura. This means Thea does not really recall killing Sara.
Meanwhile, fans are also anticipating the teaser for "The Return." However, show creator Marc Guggenheim already cleared up a couple of speculations by posting a note in Twitter saying, "I should probably mention that the title of Arrow Ep. 3x14 - 'The Return' - does [not] refer to Oliver. Or Slade Wilson." This is amidst the confirmation that Slade Wilson (Manu Bennet) will come back in 2015.
As for the Head of the Demon, unfortunately, the Arrow lost.
"You should take pride. You survived longer than most," said Ra's al Ghul.
Stephem Amell thanked his fans for supporting the show and posted on his Facebook account.
"Despite the title, our show is bigger than any one character. We're going to prove that to you," says Amell.
With this comment, fans are now suggesting that the Arrow will be no-show in more than one episode of the next half of Season 3.
The series is going to halt shooting and will come back on January 2015.
