Superstar MVP-candidate Matt Kemp has been traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to San Diego Padres. The move reportedly has been imminent for a year. In replacement for Kemp, the Dodgers will receive catcher Yasmani Grandal and pitcher Joe Wieland. While the Padres get Kemp and catcher Tim Federowicz.
Early Thursday morning, the trade that sent Matt Kemp to the San Diego Padres fueled several speculations. From the Dodger's viewpoint, USA Today's For The Win reported the move frees up an outfield logjam, makes top prospect Joc Pederson's path to the Majors a bit clearer and it definitely cuts payroll.
For the Padres, Kemp will be its most remarkable offensive player since the retirement of Tony Gwynn, a guy only a few years removed from being one of the world's best players and one who succeeded in the second half of 2014.
Matt Kemp is an American professional baseball player. He plays an outfielder in the Major League Baseball (MLB). In 2006, he made his MLB debut with his now former team, the Los Angeles Dodgers. During his time with the Dodgers, Kemp did not become a full time player until 2008. Since then he has led a remarkable baseball career with a $25 million fortune, as listed by Celebrity Net Worth.
Famous baseball superstar Matt Kemp, who is also considered as a serial celebrity dater whose exes include singer Rihanna and Khloe Kardashian, has been finally traded to Padres. According to Mstarz.com, the trade comes after years of speculation that the Dodgers would attempt to change their often injured former MVP candidate outfielder.
Matt Kemp's trade is the latest in a spell of changes for the Dodgers. On Wednesday, ESPN reported the team acquired second baseman Howie Kendrick, infielder Enrique Hernandez, reliever Chris Hatcher and minor leaguer Austin Barnes. Dodgers also added veteran shortstop Jimmy Rollins and agreed to a four-year deal with pitcher Brandon McCarthy.
Matt Kemp had more trade value than outfielders Carl Crawford and Andre Ethier. Yahoo! Sports said will continue to pay some of Kemp's salary. The team will send about $32 million to the Padres to cover part of his remaining $107 million salary.
Since Kemp will now be playing for the Padres, he gave out a goodbye Instagram message to his mourning Dodgers fans.

With Matt Kemp's transfer to the Padres, Dodgers fans are apprehensive for a spot in the World Series. Los Angeles Times reported there were two victories from that spot two years ago. But with Kemp's absence, Dodgers are not getting any closer.
