After a year-and-a-half relationship, Ryan Seacrest has admitted his split with model girlfriend Shayna Terese Taylor. On Friday night, the "American Idol" host announced that he is once again single. Over the summer, the now ex-couple, Seacrest and Taylor had enjoyed lavish vacations in France, Italy and Spain.
Prior to Ryan Seacrest's split with Shayna Terese Taylor, the 39-year-old television presenter had previously dated "Dancing with the Stars" judge Julianne Hough, in which their relationship had lasted for two years. According to Us Weekly, Seacrest's revelation that he's single came at Z100's Jingle Ball on Dec. 12.
Following Ryan Seacrest's March 2013 split with Hough, a source said that the host, who will turn 40 on Dec. 24, was looking for a potential date again. The source also added that his friends thought he and Taylor would get along well.
On November 2013, Ryan Seacrest first stepped out with the model and personal trainer Taylor while on vacation in Uruguay. According to The Daily Mail, the "American Idol" host was last spotted with his model girlfriend on Nov. 30 at London hotspot, Chiltern Firehouse.
Despite Ryan Seacrest's failed relationships, the almost 40-year-old presenter opened up to People last summer that he always dreamed of having a lasting marriage like his parents.
"I look at what my mom and dad have had for 40-plus years - a fantastic relationship and great marriage," Seacrest said. "[Hitting 40] is a turning point number where you go, 'Wait, you've got to grow up a little bit.'"
For years, Ryan Seacrest has been haunted by unending gay rumors. And with his recent breakup with 23-year-old Taylor, it will surely reignite the speculations again.
Meanwhile, Ryan Seacrest, who's usually a workaholic, plans to enjoy the holidays as much as possible.
"I'm going to take off the whole week of Christmas. I'm not even going to charge my phone," Seacrest said.
Before the confirmation of his latest split, Ryan Seacrest was seen leaving GQ's Man of the Year party on Dec. 5, with a new mystery blonde beauty, TMZ reported.
Although his personal life may be a little unsuccessful with Ryan Seacrest's recent split with former girlfriend Shayna Terese Taylor, the renowned television presenter has quite a remarkable career. And this 2015, the newly-single Seacrest will return to host the 14th season of "American Idol" on Jan. 7, together with judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr.
