Tennis Rumors: Serena Williams Kicks Off Training for 2015 Season With Showdown with Venus Williams, 5K Run

Serena Williams might have been the most dominant woman on the WTA Tour for more than a decade, but everybody knows now that she has no answer to her sisters' singing prowess.

Williams, the 18-time Grand Slam winner, seems to have no match against Venus Williams & her other sisters in terms of singing. After burning the road with her sizzling hot tights outfit, Serena joined her sisters in the evening to chill out with her siblings. Although it appeared she didn't have much fun at all, because her sisters really meant business in their Karaoke showdown.

"Serena Williams' #1 tennis ranking means ZILCH when it comes to getting on the mic -- 'cause she got blown away by her sisters, including Venus Williams, at karaoke last night.

Serena and Venus belted out the disco classic "We Are Family" at the end of the first Serena Williams Ultimate Run in Miami beach.

Looks like at least one of the non-tennis playing sisters was on stage too -- and it's obvious Serena knows her place in the family. Even though Serena (on the right) is the most famous ... she barely sings."

Williams, who has remained the gold standard in women's tennis at the age of 33, kicked off her training for the 2015 season by participating in the 5K run in Miami Beach. While she doesn't have plans in joining her buddy Caroline Wozniacki in longer marathons, Williams said she is always revved up running shorter distances.

"It definitely helps your endurance on the court. You feel you can run so many miles, you can last three hours, four hours if you need to. Williams told the press after finishing the race. "I like running the shorter distances, like 5K. You don't kill your body, but you can still feel part of the race atmosphere."

"Every year, I do a run for Thanksgiving, the 5K or 10K, to kick-start my training for the year, and last year after running the 5K, I thought, 'Wow, I really should do my charity based on running because it's a really fun way to promote a healthy lifestyle."

Williams will kick off her 2015 season at the Hopman Cup in January, joining reigning Wimbledon doubles champion Jack Sock in the United States contingent.
